FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does PayIt2 work?

PayIt2 empowers you to pursue your dreams through an organized collection platform. PayIt2 provides you a page where you can collect money from people online. PayIt2 was built for events, fundraisers, and is useful in many other types of group payments.

It's simple - set up a page, notify invitees or donors, and collect payments online. People can pay using their existing PayPal account, bank transfer, credit or debit card. All payments are sent to your Payment Processor account. From here, you can work with your specified payment processor to issue a payment back to your bank account.

How do the fees work with PayIt2?

PayIt2 as a platform to organize lists for events, group payments, and fundraising is FREE. But processing money collected on PayIt2 requires a few processing fees. PayIt2 fees are based on the template and payment processor you choose to use. For more information on that, see our page dedicated to PayIt2 fees

There is NO COST for creating extra pages, opening an account, uploading images, and there's no pesky recurring fee. Organizers can collect for FREE by passing fees onto the payers. Or, instead, organizers might choose to accept fees themselves to make a smooth checkout for payers.

What is a "Payment Processor"?

A Payment Processor is a company like WePay, Stripe, etc. that process your card information in order for a transaction to take place. As a collecting platform, PayIt2 does not collect any money, card information, or process any transactions. We are merely a platform to facilitate the collection of money for an event, group payment or fundraiser.

Because these Payment Processors specialize in quickly and securely accepting payments online, they are an ideal partner for PayIt2. As an organizer, you can choose which Payment Processor works best for you! See more information about our Payment Processors.

Which currencies do you support?

WePay is your best bet when collecting U.S. Dollars (USD). Stripe also supports USD, in addition to other currencies.

Currently, Stripe supports these currencies:

  • Australian Dollar (AUD)
  • British Pound (GBP)
  • Canadian Dollar (CAD)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • Mexican Peso (MEX)
  • U.S. Dollar (USD)

Want to collect in a currency not seen above? Check Stripe and see if your currency is offered as a Beta (trial run). Then contact us to see if we can try it out on your PayIt2 Collect Page!

Do I need to provide secure information, such as my social security number, to setup a PayIt2 account?

NOPE. All we need is the email address you use with your Payment Processor account. Setting up Payment Processors will require more secure information, but PayIt2 does not.

Who needs a Payment Processor account to use this site?

The only person who needs a Payment Processor account is the organizer of the Collect Page.

Does someone need a special account to pay me online?

No, users can simply use their credit cards to pay online through the Payment Processor. To accept credit card payments you must have a verified Payment Processor account.

Where does the money I collect online go?

The money is safely stored in your Payment Processor account (WePay, Stripe, etc.) until it is linked and deposited into an Organizer's bank account. For more information on how to transfer money from those accounts, see your Payment Processor's support page.

I am the Organizer and I need to pay.  How do I do that without getting charged any fees?

Simply go to your Manage List page, and manually mark yourself as Registered/Confirmed, Paid, or Donated. As the Organizer, you don't need to go through the online payment process!

How do I handle refunds?

You can issue refunds through your Payment Processor account. Log in to your account and you will be able to issue refunds there. Be sure to change the status of the User on your Manage List after you do!

Can I see how other people are using Collect Money Pages?
