How do I handle partial payments with PayIt2?

PayIt2's support for partial payments is accomplished a few different ways.  The following examples are techniques used by organizers.

  1. Organizers will publish a page to accept payments.  They will make the payment amount editable so people can choose how much to pay.  After a person pays a partial payment the organizer will add that person to the unpaid list with the remaining amount due.  They will then send that person a pay request for the remaning balance.
  2. Organizers will publish a page and add a payment option for a partial payment (for example a deposit).  After accepting the payments the organizer will make a copy of the Collect Page.  At this point all of the paid people will become unpaid and the organizer can add new payment options for the amount remaining.  The organizer can then send everyone in the new page's unpaid list a payment request.
  3. Organizers will publish a page and add multiple payment options.  The options will include both an option for a partial payment and a full payment.  People have the choice of which to pay.  People who pay the partial payment can then be added to a second page as unpaid for the remaining amount due.   The organizer can then send everyone in the new page's unpaid list a payment request.
