This house offers a lot of activities: Pickleball, Sand Volleyball, Frisbee Golf, Basketball Court, golf driving area….it goes on and on. Check out the VRBO link for all the house details. We will have a mixer on Friday night from 5pm - 7pm at the Palo Verde Lounge at Talking Stick. We want to make this an early night because....Saturday is when the real fun begins!!!
The plan is to model this like how we did the Friday night house party at the 30-year; potluck style. Everyone brings a dish to share and food and drinks and we run with it. The food people brought last time was phenomenal and the non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks that went around were stellar. But this time we run this all day and into the night so pace yourself and plan on a day in the life memorable good time. The agenda for Saturday is brunch around noon, dinner around 6pm, and group photos around 7:30pm. In between we can have all kinds of fun enjoying everything the house has to offer with all the outdoor and indoor activities, but definitely open to ideas. Be creative!!! We will have some food and beverages on site from donation money, but it won't be enough. It's a potluck theme so please bring something small to share so we don't starve and go thirsty. Many people on the RSVP list don't drink. This will be a laid-back good time for all!!!
To help fund the venue and extras we are suggesting $50 donations for alumni and $25 for plus ones not a part of our class or just donate like 25 bucks so we know you are coming and can add names to the RSVP list. Donations are not required. No one gets turned away, but donations help us get numbers so we know how many alumni to expect and prepare accordingly.
One caveat will be parking. Street parking is not allowed. We encourage everyone to ride share to the house. For those who drink alcohol, we don’t want anyone drinking and driving home that night. Have a designated driver or leave the car at home. If you must drive AutoZone has permitted us to park on the east side of their parking lot and there is another lot south of the AutoZone once used by some abandoned business's we may also use. Babbo Italian Restaurant has also given us the green light to use the far west side of their parking area. The offsite parking would be within walking distance if we had a ladder to get over the wall on Pima, but it will probably be too far to walk otherwise. Once parking at the house gets full, people will need to park offsite and shuttle over. I have my kid signed up to shuttle people as needed. Tip generously. lol. Or you may call a rideshare to get you to the house from the offsite parking areas. We’ll make it work.
There is a Comfort and Hampton Inn within 1.5 miles of the house. For high rollers Talking Stick is two miles away and for those that don’t need the amenities the Independence 47 is a mile away. And there is Old Town five miles away with several stay options.
If you pay here there are a few bucks in fees you will need to cover.
