Concerts for a Cause was born from the mutual desire to give back to our community and the love of live music.
The August 27th Concert for a Cause will feature Boston's Ellis Paul and Indy's own Two Guitars and a Box as the opening act.
Ellis Paul is one of the most prolific and accomplished folk-rock singer songwriters in the country. He has won the prestigious Boston Music Award 15 times, has released 19 CDs, and plays 150-200 shows a year all around the world. He is equal parts poet, guitarist, singer and entertainer. He is also the author of a critically acclaimed children's book and has had many of his songs featured on movie soundtracks.
Two Guitars and a Box is a four piece acoustic band that features outstanding three part harmonies on a variety of rock, country and blues hits. They play venues all around Indy and are always a big hit live.
Bruce Kidd, born and raised in Indy, is the organization President and is a Senior Vice President for Walker Information. Bruce is very active in the community serving on several not for profit and company boards He just finished his two year term as President of the JDRF Board and will be serving as the Chairman of the 2016 March of Dimes Gala.
Steve Neely, originally from Virginia, is President of Sysco Foods Indianapolis and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is on the JDRF and March of Dimes Boards, and Sysco supports many local community organizations and events. Additionally he served as the March of Dimes 2015 Gala Chairman. Steve is a talented guitarist and has a local band that plays clubs around Indy “for fun”.
Don Kratz is an Indiana native and an accomplished attorney who had a long career as an executive in corporate America with AMAX and Right Associates outside Indiana. About 10 years ago, he and his wife decided to move home and he started a small law firm with a partner that focuses on serving Not For Profits, entrepreneurial and closely held companies. He is an accomplished drummer and a big music fan.
All money from ticket sales at the August 27th Concert will be donated to Art with a Heart, a fantastic visual arts program designed to educate and inspire economically disadvantaged kids
