Creative Kids
Ages 5 and up. Mondays after school 3:30-5:00 p.m., 8 classes (April 4-May 23), $200 per student. We prorate. Please deduct $25 for each class missed. Sibling discount is 20% off.
Children will express their creativity and have fun experimenting in the Green Art Lab with artist, Joan Green. Each week we’ll offer a different palette of reusable materials - clean and safe items saved from the land fill and turned into amazing one-of-a-kind creations such as inventions, games, vehicles, instruments, sculptures, and dioramas. Students will work individually and collaboratively. Through art making they will find their inventor, engineer, designer, artist, and environmentalist self! This class encourages problem solving, social-emotional opportunities, creative thinking, fine motor skills, and more.
*We can walk your child to the studio from McKinley Elementary.
Creative Families
Ages 2-5 with parent/caregiver. Wednesdays 10:00-11:00 a.m. 8 classes (April 6-May 25), $160 per parent/child pair. We prorate. Please deduct $20 for each class missed. Sibling discount is 20% off.
Spend some artful, creative time with your child in this parent/child class with artist Joan Green. This sensory and process-based art class will bring out the shared joy of creating with your child. It's time to play! As a team, you will explore many media that are appropriate for young children such as finger paint, sewing, sand play, clay, paper art, dance, music, nature art and more. This class is hands-on and fun for both child and parent. Joan is influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach to child development and has encouraged creativity in children and adults for years. You will deepen your relationship with your child through art making in this class.
