I met Kai in 1992 as freshmen at college. He was always one of my goofier, but very lovable friends. I absolutely would have never expected to hear that he had been found guilty of murder. After reading the article, studying the pictures published with it, and getting in touch with him and his fiance, I'm firmly convinced he is innocent.
Is is awful what happened to the man who died. I'm not diminishing that. But, everything I'm seeing points not to murder, but to a horrible accident that happened as the result of a drunk fight between two newly met friends.
Kai and his attorney are fighting now for a retrial. But, in the mean time, and regardless of what happens, it costs him and / or loved ones and friends money to be able to communicate with him. We have to pay third party companies for us to send him messages. There's also a way to send him money for the occasional good meal, because jail food isn't the best. Please help me as he and his attorney fight for justice. I want to be able to be a friend, because it's not my place to judge, only God.
