2025 Theta Nu Alumni - Carolina Homecoming Tailgate

Once again, it's ΘN!! Brothers it's time to support our Chapter while supporting our Gamecocks! This will be the 18th year of the Theta Nu Alumni Tailgate, which dates back to our humble beginnings under a 10x10 tent on Rosewood Drive! Carolina's 2025 Homecoming game is October 25th vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide @330pm. Representatives of the D9 are finalizing a contract to take us back to Perrin-Thomas Park. Community costs, such as event management and security are shared by all D9 organizations. This was a great experience the past three years and the goal is to build on the momentum. The Park is about 2 blocks away from Willy B, just off Shop Rd. & George Rogers Blvd. This is in a Black community that has been offering gameday parking since my time at Carolina. Rideshare is encourage or early arrival to park with a local resident. Parking will not be allowed at Perrin-Thomas Park itself.  

In 2023, we collected over $9500 for food and beverages, which made for an awesome event! The budget will increase this year as we plan to elevate the VIP experience with tiered offerings, early bird pricing and added amenities, to include:

• VIP Tent: seating, game broadcast & elevated menu
• GA+ Tent: standing room, game broadcast & tailgate menu

The budget has been reset at $12,500 for 2025...for food, alcohol and D9 tailgate assessments and fees. The tailgate lot expense rose to $2000 last year and is expected to be relatively flat this year. We are seeking to expand our footprint to mirror our elevated vision. Initial contributions will be tiered: 

• Early Bird VIP: $125 PP; rising to $145 PP on September 15th
• Early Bird GA+: $60 PP; rising to $75 PP on September 15th

The Theta Nu Alumni Invitational Golf Tournament is also being revamped, and further details are TBA for this year. Brothers are encouraged to wear letters to Homecoming; T-shirts will not be sold.
