Class Registration and Materials
In this class, we will focus on the basic strokes of rosemaling and then complete a small project similar to the photo. We'll also learn to get our project ready to rosemal. We'll discuss other styles of rosemaling throughout Norway.
All materials needed to complete the project will be provided.
Kim Garrett has been rosemaling for about 14 years. She fell in love with rosemaling from her first class. Kim has studied with several Vesterheim Gold Medalists as well as having the opportunity to travel to Norway and Sweden on three different occasions to study traditional Scandinavian folk art from the 18th and 19th centuries and studying with several Scandinavian Folk Artists.
Kim has won many Blue Ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair, including two Sweepstakes awards for best in show. Along with Rosemaling, Kim also enjoys Swedish Dalmalning and she teaches classes around the Midwest.
