Hi Weycroft families,
The Weycroft Pig Pickin' is on for 2026 and continues a
tradition of community gathering in the Enfield Grant cul-de-sac, funded by and
hosted by Weycroft families! The 2026 Weycroft Pig Pickin’ will take
place on Saturday, May 16th in the Enfield Grant Cul-de-Sac. Please RSVP by May 11th so the Weycroft Pick Pickin’ Committee can best plan for a fun event.
Festivities will kick off at 4:00pm in the Cul-de-Sac but feel free to
join in at any point throughout the day as the cooking will begin before
sunrise.
The 2026 WPP will be the 14th
installment and continues to draw in many neighbors for a fantastic day.
The WPP committee is working to secure similar activities as years past and
more details will be available as we get closer to WPP day. As is
tradition, we'll have Carolina BBQ and fixin's and beverages from Carolina Brewery.
We’re using the following budget for WPP2026 (WPP25 Actuals):
- $1,000($1000) - Pigmaster's equipment and cooking/cleanup crew (We continue to keep the budget low because of all the volunteers that help throughout the day).
- $2000($1643) - food/supplies: barbeque, wings, sides, dessert, kids drinks & paper/party supplies, firewood
- $1,250($1190) - beer truck with attendant
- $800($785) - Game truck
- $300($180) - Rentals – 8 tables, 64 chairs, Porta-potty
- $925($854) - Bounce house and snowcone machine/supplies
- $700($563) – Ice cream truck
Our target is $6975 based on an estimate of 250 attending (includes public service personnel). Your RSVP and contributions will be viewable by others like in years past. The Payit2 site and Stripe have service fees for processing any payments online. In the payment process, you can mark paid offline, and pay by cash, check, Venmo (@Alan-Fontaine-WPP) or Paypal (afont5792@gmail.com). Wristbands will be used to ensure those partaking in the awesomeness have contributed to it. There was a surplus of $644 from WPP25, after covering the shortage of $251 from WPP24 ($7,110 total collected from WPP25 and expenses totaled $6,215) The $644 in surplus funds will be carried forward to WPP26.
For WPP26, the contributions remain the same as recent years, with $35 per adult, $20 for ages 11 to 20, and $15 for children ages 3 to 10. All children will need at least one adult signed up to join the festivities. The voluntary additional contributions remain critical to reaching the budget goal and making this event happen. These contributions also help to support some additional plates for our public services personnel. The Police and Fire Departments always look forward engaging with the Weycroft neighbors and enjoying some tasty BBQ!
Questions and any offline contributions may be directed to

coordinating supplies and volunteers that are critical to pulling this event
together!
