Apostle Naasón Joaquin García and his attorneys are deeply grateful for the many individuals who have expressed a desire to support the enormous burden of his legal defense. For those who wish to do so, contributions may be made through this official legal defense fund.

Apostle Naasón is a loving father and husband who continues to fight in the pursuit of justice against persecution of himself and his faith. For decades, La Luz del Mundo has been a thriving, global community dedicated to service, charity, and devotion. It is precisely because of the Church's growth and unwillingness to bow to political or cultural pressures that its leading pastor has become a target. This prosecution is less about justice and more about silencing a religious institution that certain powerful actors do not like and do not understand.

Apostle Naasón's case is that of many individuals who single-handedly face off against the power and corruption of politicized prosecution. His state case was riddled with systemic prosecutorial misconduct which effectively deprived him of the right to defend himself. Now, in the federal case filed against him, he continues to fight to receive a fair trial in the face of blatant prosecutorial overreach. We will not allow the weaponization of the justice system against a faith simply because it is convenient, popular or politically expedient to do so.

El Apóstol Naasón es un padre y esposo amoroso, que sigue luchando para que prevalezca la justicia contra la persecución emprendida en su contra y en contra de su fe. Durante décadas, La Luz del Mundo ha sido una comunidad global próspera dedicada al servicio, la caridad y la devoción. Es precisamente debido al exitoso crecimiento de la Iglesia y a su renuencia a ceder ante las presiones políticas o culturales, que han convertido su pastor principal en un blanco de ataques. Este proceso judicial tiene menos que ver con la búsqueda genuina de justicia y más con silenciar a una institución religiosa, que a ciertos actores poderosos no les gusta y no comprenden.

El caso del Apóstol Naasón es el de muchas personas que se enfrentan en solitario al poder y la corrupción de un proceso judicial politizado. Su caso estatal estuvo plagado de irregularidades sistemáticas por parte de la fiscalía, efectivamente privándole del derecho a defenderse. Hoy, en el caso federal presentado contra él, continúa luchando por recibir un juicio justo frente a la flagrante extralimitación por parte de la fiscalía. No permitiremos que se utilice el sistema judicial como arma contra una fe simplemente porque sea conveniente, popular o políticamente oportuno.
