Help a Father Rebuild and Provide for His Family
My name is Jermale. I’m a 45-year-old Black man, a husband, father of six, and grandfather of two. Three of my children are still in school, and my youngest — just 1 year old — shares a home with me, my wife, and our 4-year-old daughter, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes two years ago.
Until recently, I was making a good living. We weren’t rich, but we were managing. That changed when I lost my job. Since then, I’ve been doing all I can — working fast food just to keep something coming in. But it’s not enough. We're behind on bills, and our home is now at risk. The weight of this situation is crushing — not just financially, but emotionally too. My marriage is under strain, and every day feels like a battle to stay afloat.
My wife can’t work because our 4-year-old daughter needs full-time care. Type 1 Diabetes is a hard road for a child — and even harder for a parent watching her fight every day. That little girl is everything to me, and so is the rest of my family.
I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for help to build something — to create something that will allow me to stand on my own two feet again. I have over 20 years of experience in lawn care and landscaping. If I could raise enough to buy equipment, secure a trailer, and cover basic startup costs, I know I could build a business that supports my family and gives us a future.
Anything you can give — whether it’s $5 or just sharing this — helps more than you know. I just want a fighting chance to work, to provide, and to keep my family together.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for any support you can offer.
