Lonnie Bethea Nicholson of Hamlet, North Carolina, and Dorothy Lee Seagraves of Aberdeen, North Carolina, met as young teenagers. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising 12 children, more than 30 grandchildren, and over 60 great-grandchildren.

We want to honor their legacy with the first annual Lonnie & Dorothy Celebration on August 15, 2026. This gathering will not only celebrate their lives and accomplishments but also bring our large family closer together — and maybe even introduce you to a cousin you’ve never met!

To make this possible, we are raising funds to help host the event, and we’d love your support in bringing this vision to life.
