Fort Lauderdale Community Center (FLCC) provides innovative programs and services to improve the lives of at-risk youth and families from blighted areas in the BMSD (the Broward Municipal Service District Unincorporated Broward County) and neighborhoods primarily in underserved communities in the zip code of 33311.

Our Mission: to eliminate ignorance, homelessness, and unemployment in disadvantage communities in and around the 33311 zip code.

Inspire2Hire (I2H) Youth Empowerment:
Empowering Futures, Changing Lives

Since 2002, Inspire2Hire (I2H) Youth Empowerment has touched the lives of over 3,000 young people through transformative after-school and summer programs. Imagine the impact: more than 1000 internships, over 2,000 laptops, tablets, and computers provided, and over 1,000 job opportunities created—all paired with essential employability skills.

 

Through your generosity, we are able to offer life-changing opportunities to students, ages 12 to 19. For just $2,616 per student, you can support a full year of comprehensive care that includes personalized assessments, one-on-one youth coaching, mentorship, educational programs, financial literacy, career planning, and so much more. Students are immersed in arts programs, career exploration, and entrepreneurship workshops—gaining skills that will set them on a path toward thriving futures.

 

The results speak for themselves: Over 89% of our students improve their grades, behavior, self-discipline, and self-esteem. Many have not only graduated from high school but have also gone on to pursue careers in technology, media, and other in-demand fields. Their success stories are a testament to the power of this program.

 

The youth we serve—95% African American—come from families where the average household income for a family of four is less than $24,000. With an unemployment rate of over 64%, 75% of these students rely on free or reduced lunch. These are the young people who are often overlooked and underserved, yet their potential is limitless. Your support can bridge the gap, bringing resources, hope, and real change to their lives.
