Fort Lauderdale Community Center (FLCC) provides innovative programs and services to improve the lives of at-risk youth and families from blighted areas in the BMSD (the Broward Municipal Service District Unincorporated Broward County) and neighborhoods primarily in underserved communities in the zip code of 33311.

Our Mission: to eliminate ignorance, homelessness, and unemployment in disadvantage communities in and around the 33311 zip code.

Inspire2Hire (I2H) Youth Empowerment

Since 2002 we have provided over 1,200 youth with after-school and summer programming that also included breakfast, lunch, and a snack; 200 with internships; 800 with laptops, tablets, and computes, along with over a 1,000 job opportunities, with employability skills!

We provide sixty students ages 12 to 19, with your donation of $2,616 per student for 12 months, an assessments, a Youth Coach, mentorship, educational and skill development, an arts program, financial literacy, career planning, job opportunities, internships, speakers, workshops, insight into entrepreneurship endeavors, certifications, seminars, field trips filled with exploration and learning.

Over 89% of students participating in our programs improved their grades, behavior, discipline, self-esteem and have graduated high school with a pursuit of higher learning in career fields in technology and media. And are thriving!

The demographics of the population we serve are 95% African American, were the annual family income of four is less than $24,000 according to the ALICE Report by the United Way in March 2019. The unemployment rate is over 64% and 75% of the students are on free or reduced lunch. Your support could help us have a greater impact on reaching some of the most vulnerable who fall between the cracks have been left out of case management services, which is how most resources make it to our community to help improve the lives of residents and strengthen families.
