Event Information

Selman-Holman and Associates is proud to present the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA®) Program led by Ritken and Associates. The WTA Program is a wound care educational program provided by WOCN® Society and geared toward non-specialty licensed wound care providers and medics/corpsmen.*
The purpose of the WTA Program is to prepare a non-WOC certified nurse to provide optimal care for patients with acute and chronic wounds under the direction of a WOC specialty nurse, WOC APRN, or physician.*
The WOCN ® Society has been recognized with distinction by the ANCC as a provider of continuing education and is recognized by CMS as a resource for best practices related to wound management.* Successful completion of this course provides 24 contact hours for continuing education and meets didactic requirements for WOCNCB certification as a WTA (WTA-C).
WOCN® Approved WTA Coordinators
Sue Kennedy, RN, BS, CWOCN, FACCWS, COS-C, and Debbie Ritter, RN, BSN, CWOCN, FACCWS are co-founders and Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses with experience in the home care/hospice, acute care, rehab, and LTAC settings. They are also members of the WOCN Society™
Certification
Successful completion of the WTA Course enables nurses to sit for board certification through the WOCNCB® if eligibility requirements are met. There is a fee for the certification exam.
