This is a full day OASIS D Update conference!
OASIS D—What’s New?
OASIS D will be implemented January 1, 2019. Changes include items removed, items changed, and new items. Agencies will need to determine how to replace the items removed in the comprehensive assessment. Subtle wording changes in the guidance, the expansion of the one clinician rule, and retention of best practices as key process items are removed will be discussed with options explored. Don’t forget your Star rating: we will also review the latest guidance on current OASIS items used to calculate your Quality of Care Star rating.
Take a deep breath and let Lisa Selman-Holman guide you and your staff through a comparison of current ADL/IADL items and new GG items and new processes needed to record falls.
1. Identify M items removed from OASIS D.
2. Explain changed comprehensive assessment requirements for best practices.
3. Explain new guidance on completing pressure ulcer/injury items.
4. Compare and contrast ADL/IADL items with new GG items.
5. Explain the expansion of the one clinician rule and how it may impact current practice.
