Erick David Smith (EDS) Memorial Scholarship Service | Honor | Brotherhood 1991-2014
The men of Phi Delta Theta are pleased to announce the Erick David Smith (EDS) Memorial Scholarship. EDS was a model Brother in the Bond from the Illinois Eta Chapter Class of 2013 and served as Philanthropy and Recruitment Chairmen during his years studying Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The men of Phi Delta Theta feel it to be their duty to carry on his name by awarding a scholarship in his memory and honor. Brother Smith forever lived the meaning of our fraternity motto “one man is no man,” and his legacy will live on indefinitely through this scholarship. To commemorate his life, the scholarship will be offered to someone who possesses similar passions and values as EDS: loyalty, honor, and the determination to help those less fortunate than himself.
Outing Info
We will be hosting the EDS Memorial Golf Outing at Tamarack Golf Club in Naperville, IL. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, and a donation the EDS Memorial Scholarship. Shotgun start begins at 1:30pm. There will be a raffle at the end of the outing, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the course.
