How do you talk about fundraising effectiveness in your organization?

Dan Pallotta’s 2013 TED Talk has encouraged us to change the way we think about changing the world. In this workshop we take that one step further and ask you to change the way we think about funding those changes. Let’s get honest about overhead in our fundraising and really understand not just the costs, but the effectiveness of our efforts.

This workshop will introduce you to an evaluation tool that will help you rethink your fundraising strategies. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussion about how we can reshape the conversation around fundraising, whether those conversations are happening with the board, finance officers, within the development team, or with the CEO.

Led by the Johnson Center’s Tamela Spicer and AFPWM treasurer Mary Panek, this workshop is perfect for development directors, executive directors, board members, finance directors, and committee chairs.

In this course, you’ll:

  • Discover tips for reshaping the conversation about fundraising in your own organization
  • Learn how to use the Fundraising Effectiveness tool
  • Gain a deeper understanding of evaluating fundraising efforts
