Step 1 of 3

Hello, Mary Anne and Bob (Not Mary Anne and Bob? Click here)

Details

The Anne Arundel County Literacy Council will hold its 3rd Annual 5K Walk-a-thon on Saturday, October 13, 2018.  Our goal is to raise awareness of the Literacy Council's exciting impact on the lives of thousands of adults and out-of-school youth living in our county.

In just the past year alone, we've provided free, one-on-one, reading, writing, and math tutoring to over 200 county residents.  The majority of these adults have children who directly benefit from their parents' increased math and literacy skills.  After all, when parents can read to their children, help them with their homework, and easily communicate with teachers, the next generation of workers, voters, and potential community leaders benefits tremendously.

So join us October 13 and help spread the word about the Literacy Council's vital work.  The walk starts at 8:30 a.m. (rain or shine!) and ends at 10:30 a.m. with drinks and snacks, an awards ceremony, and our deep appreciation for your support.  You do not need to show up at 8:30 a.m.  You can make the walk any time between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Organized by Anne Arundel County Literacy Council Inc.
